MYCOTIM ® ERICOID
MYCOTIM ERICOID is a bioproduct intended for mycorrhization of the root system of blueberry and other ericoid plants, e.g., heathers, rhododendrons, azaleas.
MYCOTIM ERICOID contains three species of mycorrhizal fungi Oidiodendron maius, Phialocephala fortinii and Rhizoscyphus ericae, which colonize the roots of ericoid plants growing in acidic soils and substrates creating a symbiosis with those plants.
Mycorrhizal fungi:
- form in the soil and substrates an extensive network, penetrate into the roots of plants, increasing the
range of the root system, which results in better use of water and nutrients, thus improving the nutritional
status of plants - produce enzymes that transform organic phosphorus into mineral phosphorus, which is available to plants
- secrete substances that stimulate plant growth and development
